Jovens usuários de redes sociais no Brasil: Relações e valores

This article presents the partial results of the research «Truth and ethics in social networks: perceptions andeducational influences on young users of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube» in Brazil. The generalobjective of the analysis was to understand aspects of the production and consumption of media and socialnetworks among young Brazilians. To this end, a field study was carried out using an online questionnaire tocollect data, which was treated using descriptive analysis. Among the results, the lack of attention to attitudes(connected to the concept of competence of the KSA Theory – Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes), compromisesthe competence to mobilize resources and solve daily personal, social and professional situations. In addition,it is considered that the absence of ethical values specifically compromises media competence.
